Toehold mediated strand displacement reaction
WebbUpon looking at biological systems, a common theme is evident: structure and function are intrinsically intertwined. This connection can be observed across all length scales, whether looking at the height of a tree, which can rise above the canopy of the forest to harvest light, or the molecular structure of a lipid molecule, which drives it to form bilayer … WebbWe present a study of gold nanoparticles linked by DNA that undergo toehold-mediated strand displacement for nucleic acid sensing. The factors influencing colloidal aggregation, thermal melting, and target-induced disassembly were investigated in relation to the surface density of DNA by incorporating diluent DNA.
